«PAAMES / AMEC 2021»

This year's PAAMES-AMEC2020 international conference, under the auspices of the Pan-Asian Association of Marine Engineering Societies, will be held at the Maritime Engineering Research and Education Centre at SMTU, funded by Roneft, 20-22 September. A special feature of this forum is the traditional theme of shipbuilding and shipping considering modern Industry 4.0 technologies, including digitalisation, laser and additive technologies, machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotics, big data processing, and virtual prototyping. The right to hold this relay conference, previously held in Shanghai and Hangzhou (PRC), Jeju and Busan (Korea), Chiba (Japan), Taipei (Taiwan) and Singapore, our university received together with the Scientific and Technical Society of Shipbuilders of Russia named after Acad. A.N. Krylov (NTOS) in a highly competitive tender, the results of which were announced in October 2018 in the South Korean city of Busan at the PAAMES/AMEC international conference committee meeting with representatives of marine engineering societies from Russia, China, Korea, Japan and Singapore. In September 2019, the first organisational meeting of the Standing International Committee of this relay conference was held at the Ambassador Hotel in St. Petersburg, where the heads of 13 Chinese, Korean and Japanese organisations related to shipbuilding and marine engineering took part along with representatives of SMTU and NTOS. These included the Shanghai Maritime Equipment Research Institute, Society of Shipbuilders of Korea, Japan Maritime Engineering Institute, Hong Kong Maritime Department, Hong Kong Institute of Marine Technology, Dalian University of Technology, Qiangsu University of Science and Technology and others.
